Hi guys coming soon will be some of my favorite links that will cover blogs, podcast, and websites. I hope that this coming weekend I will have the time but I will try my best get some of it done.
Now my first topic for today would be Blue Ray disk and is it worth the cost of updating all of your collations. From my own experience with it so far is a resounding no. The picture and color or just a little shaper but having more content (extras) was cool but that was about it with a much high cost I just don’t see it. I have a Star Trek collection that took me more than a few years to put together ( TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT) and that was not cheap it took me about 7 years to collect it. Now it’s all on DVD and remember I am the poor sci-fi guy so between birthdays and fathers days and Xmas each year and my own cash I got it together.
I remember going from VHS to DVDs and it was a no brainer DVDs just knocked VHS out of the park. But with Blue Ray it’s a little different that there is just is not enough difference for me that is to make a complete change over to Blue Ray and for me it cost prohibited. But to each his own and your money.
Next on the agenda is the new SYFY show Alphas I just viewed it a few days ago and here are some of my thoughts. For one there are a bunch of Idiots out there that are all ready trying to kill it off, come on give it a chance.
I found that I like most of the charters the professor seems a little to wimpy and the autistic kid that can see wave lengths if not toned down could get on peoples nerves. I found the FBI agent with the supper strength just ok and the girl that has super senses needs a lot of work. The 2 bright spots for me were the woman that can break your will and make you do anything and Bill I think his name was that is very accurate with making crazy shots with a base ball and coins or bullets. I really liked these 2 charters. It may take me an episode or 2 to get all the names down but there is just enough there to get me to come back and at that time I will have another report.
I rate this 5 out of 10 stars.
Peace and long life.
